What the site is, who can post, and what it costs.
What is FrameClub?
FrameClub is for people who work on moving images: commercial directors, editors, motion designers, animators, and everyone else in the credits. You post what you've made, everyone who worked on it is named, and each name has a page of its own.
It's also for people who only want to look. Keeping an eye on the work of the moment is half the reason to be here.
Who can post?
Anyone with an account. FrameClub is in open beta, so signing up is enough: you can post, get credited and start saving what you like right away.
Without an account, you see the handpicked selection, this month's Frames of the Month, and three films and three profiles a month. Enough to know whether you want in.
Can I be credited on a film I didn't post?
Yes, and that's the point. A film exists once on FrameClub, whoever posts it. If you worked on it you add yourself, you pick your role, and it shows on the film's page and on yours. Likes, comments and awards belong to the whole crew.
How do I post a film?
Upload the file to FrameClub. We host it ourselves, so it plays in the best quality and doesn't depend on anyone else's link staying up. No limit, and it's protected from AI training.
You can also paste a Vimeo link and set the thumbnail here, or a YouTube link for music videos, since DRM blocks the download.
What is a curator?
Curators are members chosen for their eye and their experience. They pick the handpicked films you see in the feeds and on the home page, and they vote for the Frame of the Month in each category.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the open beta. A subscription is coming, monthly or yearly, low enough to stay open to people starting out. We'll tell you before anything changes.
Who can change a film's title or thumbnail?
With one or two people credited, whoever posted it. With three or more it's locked, so the same film doesn't read differently on three profiles. A way to edit it together is coming.
How do I join?
Create an account. FrameClub is in open beta: anyone can sign up, and it's free while the beta runs.
